Format
The Wade Boggs Invitational is a Ryder Cup Style tournament played over 2 rounds with teams of 10 golfers.
DAY 1: SCRAMBLE (Match Play)
Teams consist of two players each. After each golfer on a team plays a stroke, the teammates compare the results and select the best one. Both players then play the next stroke from that spot. This is repeated, including on the putting green, until the ball is holed. The team with the best score wins the hole and the team who wins the most holes throughout the round is the winner.
TWO POINTS AWARDED TO THE TEAM PER WIN.
DAY 2: MATCH PLAY
Match play is a one vs one competition where the golfer who makes the best score on the individual hole wins that hole. The player who wins the most holes throughout the match is the winner. In match play you are going up against your opponent head to head.
ONE POINT AWARDED TO THE TEAM PER WIN.
BOGGS CHALLENGE
Each player is given a wrist band to tally up beers consumed. The team with the most tallied marks wins the challenge. Commences at tee off Day 1. Players caught vomiting will receive a 2 beer penalty.
TWO POINTS AWARDED TO THE TEAM. PRIZE AWARDED TO INDIVIDUAL WINNER.
BEER BASEBALL
8 vs 8 game of Beer Baseball. Enough said.
ONE AND A HALF POINTS AWARDED TO THE TEAM.
SIDE BETS
Groups are encouraged to make side bets for closest to the pin and longest drive. Bring $5 bills.

Since each day is a match play style competition, each match up can agree on any special rules such as gimme putts, shotgun mulligans, reverse shotgun mulligans, etc.
